The US customers are very receptive to new products while Indian customers prefer the well-established, tried and tested products. The US customers are called as DIY (Do It Yourself) customers, while Indian customers are called DIFM (Do It For Me) customers.
Normally, US customers are considered better because of their very receptive nature to try out new products or in other words, they form a large part of Early Adopters compared to Indian customers.
Early Adopters don’t choose new ideas but are bold and quick to grasp when these ideas are explained as benefits. They are calculated risk-takers.
